Yellowstone and Grand Teton National Park

We lovingly call Yellowstone “The Park” because of its close proximity to us in Livingston or Bozeman. From here, you’ll enter through either Gardiner (North Entrance) or West Yellowstone. Plan to spend at least 2-3 days in Yellowstone taking in all the truly unique wonders the park has to offer. Add an extra day (or two) for Grand Teton National Park.

Glacier National Park

Glacier serves up some of the most spectacular scenery in this part of the world which is why it’s called the Crown Jewel of North America. The views are otherworldly and every turn offers up another cascading waterfall, impressive glacier or towering peak. The jaw-dropping “Going to the Sun Road” will certainly leave you breathless!

Getting there from Bozeman takes about 5-6 hours so you’ll want to plan for a few days in and around the park once you arrive.

Sawtooths Idaho Loop

If you want to avoid the heavy traffic in Montana’s national parks, Idaho is a spectacular alternative. This route is special because it’s sprinkled with easily-accessible natural hot springs which make it a great van-life road trip in spring or fall. The Sawtooths Loop is also considered an anglers paradise with numerous high-quality trout streams and trophy lakes.
